Matlyn and Rieser, an American couple, chose the Amalfi Coast for their May wedding, turning the celebration into a two-day experience. The day before the ceremony, they hosted a boat party along the coastline, inviting guests to experience the sea not just as a backdrop, but as the heart of the party.
The weather, however, had other plans: rain and wind accompanied much of the sailing. But instead of stopping the celebration, it made it more authentic. There was dancing, laughter, and eventually many found the courage to dive into the water, despite it being decidedly icy.
The wedding’s signature touch was the color choice: guests were asked to follow a strict black dress-code, while the flowers followed an all-white palette. A bold, elegant contrast that gave the day a sophisticated, contemporary atmosphere.
Before the ceremony, the couple shared a first look on the villa terrace, a private, intense moment before joining their guests. The party continued with dancing and endless espresso martinis, a signature cocktail that kept the energy high and the style sharp.
A real wedding that shows how even a May day on the Amalfi Coast can become an unforgettable memory, made of energy, connection, and the certainty that sometimes beauty comes precisely from the unexpected.
